These works were made during time spent in the mountains of Norway, in the kind of stillness that only exists there.

No motif was planned in advance.

The compositions grew out of sitting in nature for long stretches, letting the body settle, and letting the hand follow what remained once the mind went quiet.

They are images about merging with something larger than yourself. Not nature seen from the outside, but nature as it feels once you've been in it long enough that the line between body and landscape starts to blur.
