Mjølfjell 8 · Watercolour, 31.5 x 23 cm

Watercolour and oil pastel on 320 g paper · 31.5 x 23 cm · Framed in light wood with glass, ready to hang · Ships from Voss, Norway

This piece came from higher ground in Mjolfjell, where the valley opens out and the sky takes up more of what you can see than the land does.

Up there, the sense of scale shifts completely, and the body feels small in a way that is not frightening but grounding. This work carries that openness, the feeling of being held by something far larger than yourself.
