Painted after an unforgettable day in the mountains of Voss, this work grew out of the encounter between light, rock and warmth.
The painting is inspired by the way sunlight embraces the mountains — touching the cold, rugged landscape and transforming it with warmth and colour. The intense orange and pink tones emerge against the cooler greens and pale light, reflecting the shifting atmosphere of the mountain landscape.
Rather than depicting a specific place, the painting captures a feeling from the journey: the warmth of the sun against the vastness of the mountains, the energy of the landscape, and the sense of being completely immersed in nature.
