Showing at B Open in Bergen
The festival runs on 19 and 20 September. My paintings will be part of a shared studio with ZIP Collective at Birkebeinergaten 4. adresse google maps

I live in Voss, a small place surrounded by mountains and moving water. Most days my studio is quiet, and the nearest gallery is an hour away. That distance shapes how I paint, but it also means the people who see my work in person are few.
B Open changes that for two days. It brings the work down from the mountain and into a room full of strangers who came simply because they wanted to look.
I paint instinct. The moment before the body decides to jump, to run, to hold on. Living here, surrounded by people who ski down what looks impossible and throw themselves off cliffs for the joy of falling, I see that instinct constantly, in others and in myself. It ends up in the color and the movement on the canvas long before I have words for it.
Showing outside my own valley matters to me. Not because Voss is not enough, but because a painting needs eyes it has not met yet. If you are in Bergen that weekend, come find us at

I would love to talk about the work, or just stand quietly next to you while you look.

This summer I also showed a new series, While It Lasts, at Sirkulasjon, at Voss Kunstlag. Read more about my work here.
